T-Life app

The T-Life app is the easiest way to set up your Internet.

  • It can help find the best location for your gateway, monitor Wi-Fi connectivity, manage when your family’s online, see who’s connected to your network, manage your gateway anytime, anywhere, and more.
  • If you don't want to use the app, you can still connect to your network using the default name and password on the gateway label.

Set up your Gateway and Backup Plan

Our 5G Gateways offer standard Wi-Fi, multiple home networks (SSID), and connection to T-Mobile's 5G network. We offer a variety of gateways with the same key features.

  • After you set up your gateway, then you can set up your mesh Wi-Fi extender.
  • Each time you move your gateway you should use the gateway placement assistant in the app to find the best location for your gateway.
  • When your main internet provider experiences an outage, Home Internet Backup automatically takes over to keep your home online until service is restored.

The following energy efficiency information is provided in accordance with the Consumer Technology Association’s ‘VOLUNTARY AGREEMENT FOR ONGOING IMPROVEMENT TO THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF SMALL NETWORK EQUIPMENT’. The Ready-State power draw is listed for each Small Network Equipment model received by T-Mobile in 2025 and was determined in accordance with the ANSI-CTA-2049-B standard.

When new and existing customers make the move to T-Mobile Internet from an Internet Service Provider (ISP), we'll pay off your previous carrier’s service contracts and early termination fee (ETF) up to $750.
